Never knew the Mk.7 1.25 Petrol had a turbo!

Next time you're in the Fez, choose your audio input as AUX, but make sure there's no leads connected, i.e. USB/iPod etc.

Set volume to 17 (which I've found optimal!), accelerate away and hear that turbo whizz!

Sorry for the pointless thread, but it kept me amused for a while - easily entertained! :P

haha just tried this on the way home from work in my 1.6TDCI. How on earth did you find this out? btw i could only hear it on max. would be interesting to find out what causes this

Is that the "wining" noise you get, its usually the wiring that doesnt have good insulation picks it up somehow, can happin thru the FM transmitter too at times.

yea but it gets louder the faster you accelerate, like the whine of a turbo (kind of). Can't remember where i heard it but i'm sure i've heard something similar to this before were someone could heard the sound of there engine coming through the speakers in the car.

EPIC FAIL :(

The audio system gets faster the higher the revs you have! :)

To be fair I did have fun with the 'supercharger' in my mk6. It was much louder if I was charging my ipod via the 12v socket and playing music through it at the same time.

I noticed this, I assume it's down to the badly shielded audio electronics? Still it does sound rather cool.

I get a 'real' cool noise on my bike though, at 5500rpm the second set of fuel injectors turn on (it has two sets per cylinder) so something starts making a noise that sounds cool - have never worked out what though, but it is at 5500rpm and beyond.

i get a whine/whistle noise past around 3.5k revs in my ti-vct, its not from the stereo though... anyone know what it is? i thought it was something to do with this new cam system whatever it is.
