Ford Focus mk2 headlights

Hello everyone

Trying to do another mod on my beloved Ford Focus mk2 Ghia on a 56 plate .

 

I am looking to change my normal headlights to the adaptive ones.

 

My first ? Is it possible to do it?

 

And what rewiring I will need to do to make them work with or without the adapting.

Not knowing much about  the focus, but are the headlamps even the same fitting, before you get onto sensors and wiring.

When did adapitive headlamps start on the Focus?

The headlights are the same shape as mine. They were removed from a 2006 Focus Titanium. The dipped headlights section of the lamp as the round magnifying glass.

No ideas when the came in mate.

Looking round the forum it looks like you will need a headlamp control module,  steering  position sensor, and the wiring seems to be very different from the standard headlamps.

Thanks for your reply. Do you think I could fit them without using the adapting part of the lights, I am not too bother about that.

I just want to fit a leds in the dipped lights because it has the magnifying section.

The cost of fitting hid kits would work out to the same price as these lights

Hello everyone
Just want to give an update in regards to my little lady MK2 Focus.


I have installed the replacement headlights that I said I purchased in my earlier post. They look great with the leds in it.

I was really surprised that my 56 plate Ghia did not come with the 10 pin connect instead of the 7 pin one. Cheap bastereds.

I am hoping that they don’t need adjusting but I am not holding my breath.

A point of note the leds I suggested you buy don’t buy them. I found that they are too long to fit and I ended up cutting a hole through the headlight covers. They are to fit the other car in my earlier post.

I will do a late evening picture because they will show up more.
