Hello all,

I would like to know if 2019 model of 1.0 Ecoboost has a GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) simillar to DPF from Diesel . I read something about it on a thread on the Focus forum, but it's not clear for me if EcoSport has it or not. Many thanks for your help !

 

I was only looking at one yesterday to see if it had a gpf, undertrays in the way to see. But I bet it has to conform to euro 6.2 . 

Edit. Euro 6.2 does have gpf.

It should be a lot less hassle than a DPF. Petrols produce much less soot and their exhausts run hotter which helps the filter keep itself clean.

That's not to say there won't be any issues, just GPF maintenance should be considerably less of a worry than DPF.

Let's hope they've learned their lesson from the Mk 4 Focus😀

Fiesta hasn't had any issues , and the eco boost engine in fiesta  is same as EcoSport.

So just to get this clear in my simple mind - they've slipped gpf into the Fiesta/EcoSport without the head/cam drive mods which have been applied to the revised 1.0 in the Focus Mk 4?
