Argh, Scuffed My Alloy Wheel!!!!!!

Featured Replies

I was idiotic enough to scuff my alloy this afternoon, the mark is rather light and only a cm long, is there a way of getting it out?

Oh crikey!! If it were me, i'd just leave it. Probably not worth spending money on fixing it if it's that small.

I know, tbh I havent had luck with this car, scratched the bonnet on the chain that stops people parking on our land and now this!

An older sister is my excuse, all her fault.

Unlucky mate, I did three of mine in the first month and a half! (One about an inch long the other two tiny) Was desperate to get it fixed at first but that kind of faded after a week or so and now I'm not too fussed about getting them done - you can barely see them and would never notice if you didn't know they were there.

Oh and the day after I picked up my brand new mk6 I reversed it into a towbar on the back of a Land Rover! Couldn't see it sticking out through the rear windscreen. <_<

Im liking that michael lol, Only thing is AndrewL it will bother me until I get it fixed, coz il look at it and always be pee'd off, like my bonnet it has being t-cut out but still really annoys me lol

Just keep the car dirty, simple!!

You have my sympathy, just scuffed my first one this morning! It was only a matter of time, but I've managed to last 9 months before it happened.

washed mine today and found damage on passenger front wheel, gutted as the cars only 2 weeks old.

i'm sure when i'm driving around i must have a badge on my car that says come on throw your stones at me!!!

Mines in it's second week now

Im DREADING any damage or stone chips

I thought mine was scratched, but it turns out it was just wax than Hadn't been buffed off.

The I noticed alot more...took me an hour taking off all the wax I missed...Time for a machine polisher

My alloys are immaculate so far apart from my dust caps leaving a few minor scratches, rather annoying :(

I no what you mean about the wax/sealent making it look like a scratch/chip. Gives you a wee scare

Phew, this thread is putting me off alloys!

All I've got to worry about though is a set of £35 Halford's brand wheel trims.

Alloys are definately worth the price, makes it look like a different car!!

A nice set of Ford MP3 wheels on your car Luke would look the dogs 'locks

I really like the Focus Zetec alloys actually, saw them on a black estate once and I thought they looked the duck's nuts.
