Hi, 

I recently drove through a puddle a bit too fast and lost the cover off my rear towing eye on my MK8 fiesta. It's a small piece of square black plastic. The dealer wanted £22 for a replacement and refused to give me a part number at all. Would be anybody be able to give me the part number or know of anywhere that would do a replacement? I can find loads of mk7 covers, but no mk8s.

Cheers Gazcaz, but that's for the MK7, not the MK8. Mine is a small square and I can't find it anywhere online.

 Yeah I too can't find any for the mk8. I've scowered the Internet with no joy. Had mine pinched.. Now I know why. Can't believe how hard they are to find as the models been about since the end of 2017..

Thank you, I will have to R.T.F.M. again, as I didn't realise the car had a rear towing eye attachment. I while ago the car got stuck in mud and had to be towed out. Couldn't find an eye, so wrapped rope around rear beam.

I will also have to have another look to see if our other car, (Mk3 Fabia) has a rear one also.

 

Here is the part number you need , fortunately I have lost mine also and bought this from the dealer, and I have a habit  of taking photos for the part number of any part I buy or replace 😊😊

All cars these days have front and rear towing points (often used when vehicles are being delivered/transported) its worth knowing that the screw threads on these are left handed, ie. you turn the towing eye in an anti-clockwise direction to screw them in.
