Hello Eric :]

Featured Replies

Yaaaay! I finally picked up the Fez (named Eric) today :D

Been a looooooong few days, so here's a nice little story with photos.

Started up with me going to Nottingham for the Student Radio Conference. The coach was boring, my housemate slept and some randomer took off her shoes, making the coach smell of cheesy feet...

I was coming up from London, and there were clear signs that I was heading back to the North...

IMG_0448.jpg

The conference was good... I won an award :P

IMG_0449.jpg

And whilst waiting to use the Tesco cashpoint, found a rather interesting magazine article...

IMG_0450.jpg

So after 2 nights out followed by really early starts, I was running on 2 hours sleep both nights (last night and the one before). Sleep depravation makes me silly. So I find innuendo with anything...

IMG_0451.jpg

Don't tell me you can't see it...

But anyway, car talk! I got the train up to Chesterfield from Nottingham for £6 :D

IMG_0452.jpg

IMG_0453.jpg

Then finally got to the dealer. Signed a few papers and then came one of the worst sights in the world...

So once it was mine, I sped off to a carpark to take a few photos, drove to Meadowhall and then back home to London.

And on the journey I even saw a truck full of Fiestas :)

More photos shall follow (taken with a proper camera) at the weekend or Friday :D

So, what do I think about the car?

I LOVE IT!!

I only had a play with the bluetooth (need to get used to this voice control thing), and I know I'm sad, but because I did about 30 junctions of the M1 today I love the 3-blink indicator for changing lanes.

((Sorry to double post, but there's an image limit in posts))

Looks like a good few days!

The car's alright too...

 Loved the random story! Cat looks lush, bet you're chuffed to bits. Enjoy it and drive safe!

Why Eric by the way?

Sod the car, who's your housemate? :P

Excellent work! Car looks lovely, cool plate too.

Funnily enough I've got the exact same fumbled photo of '000007 miles' that I took when I picked my car up! Great minds and all that...

Cat looks lush

What cat?!

Eric in memory of my grandad. It was the money he left me which went on the car :)

Sweet :) Are you coming to the meet ??

Does the S have a black plastic casing around the dials?

Very nice by the way, worth the trip *s*

Standard Zetec S wheels for a change

I think you already know what I think of your car.....pretty much exactly the same as mine. Good choice sir, good choice.

Yeah I didn't bother with the street pack... Mostly because I didn't want to spend anymore money. I was kinda regretting it before I collected, but I have no regrets at all. I like the standard alloys and that's all that counts :)

And yes, I shall be at the meet, as long as I get May Day off work ex.

Also, is it worth fitting mudflaps? The spray from the M1 journey has messed him up after under 300 miles :( And I can only see out of the rear window where the wiper goes :P

they don't go on the rear too well, check out rocky's thread on page 2 of this forum, the one about his zorsts and valance, you can see the fit there.

although not sure if thats cos they were universal/aftermarket ite,s.. i've not seen standard ford ones on the fiesta before?

reported 3 of its posts but its everywhere now

Love the little story and indeed the car! Best choice of colour aswell :D

You paid 14230!?

I'm paying overall £12978 over 3 years and that's including finance for the zetec s tdci!!! Albeit without Bluetooth. Think you could have hammered them well further down if you were paying it outright! You got many other extras?

Oh well glad you're enjoying it as much as I am.

shut up!! lol

  • Author

Yeah shut up! :P

I ordered before they knocked £2000 off the price...

But I paid over £2500 off list so I've no regrets. That price includes GAP insurance too.

Also, is yours used?
