Hello Eric :]

Featured Replies

they don't go on the rear too well, check out rocky's thread on page 2 of this forum, the one about his zorsts and valance, you can see the fit there.

although not sure if thats cos they were universal/aftermarket ite,s.. i've not seen standard ford ones on the fiesta before?

I fitted them to my 6.5, and when I traded it in, he asked if I wanted them fitting to the new one, as I'd had them on, wish I'd took him up on his offer now!

Just paid for my insurance... Bye bye another grand :(

At least you're paying insurance for a decent car!!!

Yeah I didn't bother with the street pack... Mostly because I didn't want to spend anymore money. I was kinda regretting it before I collected, but I have no regrets at all. I like the standard alloys and that's all that counts :)

And yes, I shall be at the meet, as long as I get May Day off work ex.

Also, is it worth fitting mudflaps? The spray from the M1 journey has messed him up after under 300 miles :( And I can only see out of the rear window where the wiper goes :P

Agree'd with the wheels! I'm torn between them as i like both! :(

Nice car - does seem odd seeing one without the bigger wheels on too. . . . (although each to their own)

Just given him his first bath :) Nice and clean now. Just need to get a little hoover to do the carpets...

Also noticed my first scratch :( Got a little too close to a kerbed parking space...

:o The scratch looks nasty. What's the MJQ badge for? Is that a dealer badge?

  • Author

MJG - my initials... Cheaper than a personalised plate ;)

Eeeeekk at the scratch! Are you going to get it mended or can you live with it? It'd bug the hell out of me

Youve only just got it and look at that scuff :o

And even i might be fussy but id second in saying that back end is just a bit busy, Think a De-Bage leaving just the S would suit it well! but thats just me :)

  • Author

I will get it sorted :)

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get cheap paint from? As I can see this something I probably will do again...

And it annoys me the fact that I've done it, but as it's under the chin spoiler you can't see if unless you look for it, so it's not so bad :P

And yeah I see what you mean about the !Removed! being busy, but it doesn't bother me... Not a huge fan of the dealer thing under the plate though :/

If you wanted a quick but not expensive fix why don't you just get a touch up kit??

I'm going to get one for my wheels just to cover the bits that have scratched off.

When i get it i'll keep you informed on how good it is ( i'll be using Sea Grey also! )

I would stay away from the touch up kit if you don't know what you're doing, I used one on my old car and it just made it worse  It can be quite hard to make it blend properly, I'm guessing the whole panel would need respraying to make it blend.
