either way gap is a waste of time/money you'll never use it, just another thing for the dealers to make money off. same goes for tyre insurance/cover which i was also tricked into buying when i bought my car from ford main dealer

As someone who paid £160 for GAP cover 14 months ago, then suffered a total loss and have been paid £1,400 by my GAP insurer I can tell you it isn't a waste of time and that unfortunately you may have to use it.

Only thing I would say is buy online not from your dealer, much cheaper, same cover.
