Mk2 RS2000 bodywork restoration standstill

Featured Replies

My 1980 Rs2000 Custom is currently at the back of a repair garage  in SW Durham where it failed its MOT with corroded sills. The garage offered to do the bodywork repairs but once started, I was advised that the front wings, the headlamp mounts and the floors were all corroded and needed replacement. The car was stripped, engine and gearbox out, doors off, screens out and corroded panels all removed. New floor panels have been fitted but the work has come to a standstill and no work has been done on the car for some considerable time. The response I get when asking for the repairs to be completed is that the garage is too busy.
Can anyone suggest / recommend a  Mk2 Escort bodywork specialist in or around Co. Durham in NE England that I could approach to have the remaining work completed?
