Bit baffled by the comment on page 4 "Lisa has high hopes for the EVs that Ford is producing in Ireland". Is this some new factory we've never heard of?

Indeed, me complaining 39 years ago certainly taught Ford dealers a thing or two 🤣🤣🤣

Can't help thinking at the futility of whinging about the quality of the wheels on this forum. Of course, it'll get it off your chest, trouble shared and all that. But really, wouldn't you be better o

Its quite simple. If I buy new, it should be new and perform as such. No scratches or software issues. More people need to speak out and moan about this stuff otherwise they'll just keep doing it and

Do you expect them still to be in business in 3 years time ?

If they are, I guess they won't have many customers on here.

Yes, it's a job creation scheme for redundant Leprechauns who are now unemployed after realising there really isn't a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow 🤣

Do Ford have a complaints team, except the people at CRC? I am genuinely super annoyed that they seem to think it’s acceptable to deliver two faulty vehicles to the same customer and expect them not to be annoyed.

The last reply I had from their Executive Office was really dismissive because I confirmed the vehicle was rejected.

The Americans seem to understand how important customer service is. I bet mother Ford in the US wouldn’t like hearing about this, or do they operate completely separately?

If they do, their jobs will definitely be safe!

Some jobs 100% deserve to be lost tbh.

I cannot believe I am posting a similar story again. I felt like I missed out, so found yet another new dealer, bought a brand new 2025 plate, factory order, Focus St-Line X with all the extras, and this time it arrived with a damaged front bumper.

Sure they could fix it - but why should customers accept this? Another vehicle immediately rejected. I am starting to think someone at Ford really dislikes me, there's no way this can happen twice in under a year.

Executive office were as useless as ever, starting to think they don't even do any work. What do we think folks - damaged in transit, or something else? See pic. It was also covered in birds muck and arrived dirtier than my current car.

Given the number of engine, gearbox and electrical faults we see on here, I'd gladly take a scuffed bumper.

Difficult to see what's happened on that picture but it looks like it's gone over a kerb, could have happened anywhere when they get shunted around onto trains or ferries etc.  Or even at the dealership...one of my local dealerships used to have massive kerbs in the car park which were covered in scrapes, never could understand why it was designed like that.

That's the thing, if all of their "thorough" checks missed the bumper damage, what else did they miss? Doesn't instill much confidence. I didn't even get in the car let alone switch it on to test it.

Wonder if anyone can advise!

25’ plate Focus, auto with all extras. Intelligent Cruise and the Predictive Speed Assist was working fine as normal, but after I stopped for a coffee and got back in the car, it seemingly stopped working.

The signs are now blank unless I drive past one, (when usually it’s persistent), and activating cruise brings up error message “Adaptive Cruise Control - Predictive Speed Assist Not Available”

Any ideas?

Didn't even know this was a thing! Had to look it up.

Ford seem to list the usual sort of reasons why this kind of thing doesn't work (below).

if it's anything like my experience with intelligent speed assist, dirty screen in front of the camera, missing/dirty/obscured road signs, inaccurate GPS data, poor or no GPS signal are likely culprits.

WARNING   WARNING:  The system may not always adjust vehicle speed in certain road or weather conditions such as crossing traffic, yield or stop signs, right of way, traffic lights, speed bumps, rain, snow, fog. You must always apply the brake or accelerator pedal when necessary.

The road geometry and speed limit information provided by the navigation map data could be inaccurate or out of date.

The system may not detect and read speed limit signs with conditional information, for example, when a sign is flashing, during specific time ranges, or when children are present.

Note:   The system does not set the vehicle speed to speed limits shown with a supplementary traffic sign.

Under certain conditions, the system may not adjust the vehicle speed until after your vehicle passes the speed limit.

Called Ford today and the car is showing error codes, so needs to go in. Hopefully just a software fault and not a hardware one.

You've had a nightmare with Fords, hope you are able to get it sorted swiftly, I bought my first ever new car back in 2019 it was a Fiesta St-line, no problems until it rained, luckily I had rubber floor mats, so could see the water, it was leaking down the A post, many refitting of the windscreen they sent an expert, they found a small hole in the body work, behind the windscreen, they said contact a body shop, they didn't want to do it, so I rejected the car, the courtesy car was a focus, which I liked, as I was confident getting mine repaired and not knowing what damage might have been caused, I did contact Ford Head Office and things moved a bit quicker then, I changed it for the Focus and touch wood no issues apart from an annoying rattle in the cabin that it never used to do

Absolute nightmare mate. This is unfortunately the one last May which arrived with the damaged bumper - I decided to keep it and yeah, look where I am now.😔
