hi all,,,,im thinking of buying a mk1 escort lhd import,,the current owner has applied for the v5 but has been refused,,,[i have a copy of the letter] because he has no nova cert import papers etc it has the vin no stamped on the strut top  ,,theyve told him that it is possible to get a v5 n reg no but the car will need to be verifyed by a ford dealer or the ford owners club,,,can any1 advise me on this please???? kind regards terry
