Hi Guys 

Looking to change my car and I'm currently looking at mondeo titanium x or titanium x sport and don't really know which one is best to go for

One is 1.6 tdci titanium x 2011 and the other is a 2.2 tdci titanium x sport 2009

Basically what is the best engine to go for and what is the difference between the sport version and standard titanium x 

 

Any help in making my mind up will be appreciated

2.2 TDCi Titanium X Sport is the best one...  But if you're not bothered by the extra power or the sporty touches (red stitched leather and a few external tweaks) then the other one may best for you.  It really depends what you're after from the car.

I think that 2.2TDCI in the Titanium X Sport is pretty rare and is 197bhp iirc, so as Tom says, if you're interested in performance that's the one.

Note the 2009 (pre-facelift) 2.2 is 175ps whereas the (facelift) 2.2 from 2011 onwards is 200ps, as well as the differences to interior and exterior.

I went for the 2.2 200ps TXS as I was coming from a 2.5 V6 MK2 Mondeo.

Yes, you're right David. From a quick read I thought they were both 2011, didn't spot the 2009!

Yes I did thanks for saying and I went for the 1.6 tdci titanium x as it was lower in tax and better fuel economy
