Discs and pads for fiesta mk7

Featured Replies

Hello guys, i need to change discs and pads on my fiesta as they are worn out. My question is which brand to buy.

I have a 1.25, so my use is a very "regular one", but i dont wan't to cheap out on brakes. I was thinking ATE (140€ for front disks and brakes), but i heard they tend to crack.

I just want a good stopping power, low dust and no NVH. What do you guys use on yours?

Thanks!

I fitted Ford discs and (motorcraft) pads to my friends 2014 Fiesta, no problems since a previous garage fitted the wrong pads.

Ferodo discs and pads on mine. Excellent.

I'm using Brembo discs and pads and no problems with braking but bit more dusty than the OEM pads I had previously. Think if you go with more sport, road race type brands, you will get more dust and noise (plus will depend on if you have a heavy foot).  Don't go grooved or cross drilled, as you may get vibrations and more noise, and it is only a Fiesta, so doubt you need to brake from 100 mph on every corner and need to keep the discs cooler (I could be wrong 😉 ).  One thing I will say with the Brembo discs, I do have a bit of surface rust on the none friction parts and during the lockdown when I did not use the car, surface rust on the face but a quick trip cleaned the face up.  If you are fairly confident with a tool kit, it is not a very difficult job and the only specialist tool (other than a socket set) is a torque wrench if you want to tighten the nuts up to spec.
