Power steering

Featured Replies

Hi, has anyone had issues with a leaking power steering reservoir, it is stopping the engine bay from rusting at least😆.

Crack on reservoir bottle, split hose, leaking seals, depends on where exactly and what model.

Hello Ray, I have not investigated too close but the leak appears from around the reservoir area. The model is a 2.5 V6 W reg.

Yep know those motors well, is it the st24 ? They were common for the plastic seal on the top  metal pipes leaking.

Hi Ray, no not the ST24 just the ordinary V6. Also have noticed salad cream type stuff in the reservoir which seems like the oil is draining with the leak.

Hi, all clear now. Turned out to be the steering oil cooler at the front end.
