Morning,

My son has a 1.1 ti-vct that sounds like it’s misfiring on idle, as it’s popping every now and then.

Was thinking it maybe spark plugs but cannot find them anywhere for this engine .

Anyone know if it could be down to spark issues or something else?

    Good morning Jon, a possible misfire could be down to any number of component failures. Get yourself a laptop and download FORScan. You will need the new vLinker FS cable to connect to the OBDII port and then you will be able to monitor each cylinder for misfire, injectors, coil packs etc etc.

    Funny I have a similar problem with my wifes 1.1 Ti VCT. The car drives very well but at hot idle the engine rocks around a bit with the occasional pop at the exhaust. Scanned for codes and none present at all. At a loss how to troubleshoot this.
