Not sure.... it was the ford dealer in Thetford. They didn't charge me for checking the module... but they were going to charge me for hooking it up to the computer.... where can I get Forscan from, is it the same as what they use?

Ah, fair enough.  I forget how big Suffolk is lol!

Forscan is an aftermarket diag system but almost equivalent to the main dealer tool.  There's been a change of adapter for Forscan recently, but if you search on here you should find the current info.

Thetford is actually in Norfolk, I used to work there. I actually live in Sudbury Suffolk, which is about 45 mins from Thetford.

I'll download and install Forscan, along with the free 2 month license. After watching a few YouTube videos about Forscan I'm beginning to think that bluetooth is disabled in the ECU. According to Etis the car wasn't spec's when new to have bluetooth phone connectivity... I'm beginning to think (hoping) that the dealership just programmed the ECU to disable the phone side of things even though the car was built with everything there ready to go...... It does sound feasible to me at least.

I'll have to wait a while as I need to buy the OBD2 connector for the laptop. Once I have everything sorted i'll report back here with some updates, and maybe some forscan screenshots.

RESULT!!!!!! I managed to get the old module unplugged, and try the new one I got off ebay.... plugged it in, AND IT WORKED! No issues at all, paired with my Galaxy S20+ no problem  downloaded all my contacts, voice control works perfectly.... this is Strange as the car isn't supposed to be Bluetooth enabled according to Etis... anyhow  I'm a happy bunny.... now I just need to figure our a way of getting the old module out so I have room for the new one
