Mondeo 2008 Titanium X Lights

Hi,

I don't know what you call them but when you turn your steering wheel as far left or right, in the evening, you get side lights that come on. Mine has stopped working for some time and I just haven't got around to sort it. I know it's not the light bulbs as they are new and I don't see any loose cables, what else should I look for? Anyone experience this before?

Thanks

By the sounds of it you are referring to the cornering lights.

I didn't realise that they had been fitted as early as 2008. Does your car have automatic headlights ?

As yes, cornering lights, yes it has automatic lights. This model was one of the last of its kind and first with features like these.

Are you sure it isn't the bulbs? The cornering lights don't use the same bulbs as the dipped beam. Also, make sure the light switch is set to auto. I think they only operate in auto mode.

I never use the manual switch for the lights, always set to Auto. I'm pretty sure the bulbs are fine, I will check again to be 200% sure.

The Static Cornering lights use separate H1 bulbs (it is in my car). They turn on depending on steering angle and speed and of course when the dipped beams are on.
