Kenway
Hi there Before I start work on the car I got to replace the wife car thermostat but have to remove the battery to get better access to the housing unit, is they a way to stop the alarm from going off (if it does on a ford, does on a VW) / loss codes etc before I start, or would I need to get myself a battery charger and connect to the cables Thanks
unofix
The alarm won't go off. You might have to reset the 'one touch' electric windows (if you have them). Disconnect the negative lead first.
MJNewton
I changed my thermostat and don’t recall removing the battery? I might’ve just forgotten and am not with the car to jog my memory though.
