Mk4 Focus 1.0 Ecoboost MOT emissions

Featured Replies

I think there CZ one here on the forum. He lives in Spain. He mistook it for the timing belt, but then wrote that it was the oil pump belt. At Ford, they didn't have the belt.

Hi,

Did you get anywhere with the failed emissions test? We have got a 69 plate ford focus eco boost with the same issue - failed MOT due to emissions after fighting ford as they said we needed a new CAT, Lookers finally found that there was a PCM update required - this was done and and the car passed. Move forward 4 months and the engine management light flickered on and off, with this we decided to do a free emissions test with Halfords and have found that the car emissions had started increasing again and only just scraping passed the test - it failed fast idle. Ford are saying they won't even discuss the issue again until we pay for another diagnostic test. - Any advice would be appreciated - Thank you

My1.0 Eco Boost 2013 plate has incredibly high reading, I have mot due soon and it had failed last year,, I replaced both 02 sensors and the catalytic Converter it passed but engine light came on soon after and its even worse now. Idle reading meant to be 0.2 is 11.76!!

A mechanic who fitted the cat, said it possibly could be the turbo sensor?? When in high revs driving sometimes it goes almost into limp mode and doesn't accelerate well. Any ideas on this anyone?
