H7 LED bulb replacement...

Featured Replies

Despite Royal Mails best efforts with a 6 day consecutive break (2 x days strike, 2 x days weekend, 2 x days holiday), my bulbs arrived yesterday. On bench testing them, they are blindingly bright! When the weather eases off (stops raining), I'll get round to fitting them and will report back here. I do like that the physical size of the LEDs equate to a standard H7, so at least they should fit with no issues...

I shop in Poundland, brands mean little to me...

3rd post as I can't find my previous ones lol (But I've bookmarked this one so won't start anymore, promise...)

safety related item- at least highbeam should still behave... if you remember in your panic, but I'd have gone with the brand I recco'd (each to their own)

how can u lose a post ? - they remain highlighted through the forum, its NOT even cookie related on a given machine - works 100% for me

as for legality UK MOT was rewritten to allow MOT boys to pass motorbikes with illegal LEDs last year - so as they are at eye level and bounce about due to short wheelbase and the fact Mercs are allowed to blind everyone - I think it won't take much to win in court - drive out of control as can't see or drive safely - not much a dilemma for most people

I kept searching my own posts with 'LED' in the title before eventually discovering the posts I did did not have this keyword in the title LOL

I have posted before that I used HID lights in a previous car for 6+ years without any issues, apart from being able to see much better in the dark! Being a potential MOT failure will not keep me awake at night...

oh you tried to use search on this forum - no wonder you never found them - search here has to be the most useless features of any website ever created - go on google it'll find them far faster - not that I condone working with the devil but.....

Where did you get these from, UK or US?

Your on the wrong ones lol

Bringing light to life.
Unlike any other HID unit, the New Autobeam LED D3S Dipped Beam Unit is able to produce a perfect white light, up to 150% brighter vs standard HID, while retaining a classic cool white LED look with a colour temperature of 6000K.
Show the road in the brightest light.
Brighter vs any HID Xenon light and a light beam up to 250 meters, the Autobeam Performance D3S LED is the world's most powerful headlamp light of its kind.
Safety at a glance.
Autobeam Performance products are the best choice for drivers who value maximum visibility and safety. The highest light output compared with standard Xenon lamps means visibility is vastly improved for maximum road illumination.

Indeed, however, nowhere does it state in that vast spec, that they are CE marked, odd that LOL

aahhh... too much info LOL Your last post would have sufficed.

Lol went out in the car last night the lights are unbelievable compared to my old Bulbs

CE ROHS and ECE are two different things though. CE ROHS is about how it is manufactured. ECE is whether it is compliant to vehicle legislation.

Finally got round to fitting my new LED bulbs after it stopped raining for a few hours. It's one of the best mods I've made to a car. They are a lovely white light, bright, and I can see so much clearer. No adverse reaction from oncoming drivers, and the alignment was recently checked anyway. Yes, they may be the 'wrong' brand, and yes, an overzealous MOT tester may fail me, but I wouldn't hesitate recommending them, They will beat hands down any 'halogen' equivalent...

Photo doesn't do justice as I took them with my 'smartphone', so I have no control over shutter speed or 'F' stop aperture setting, so it over compensates for everything!

Sorry but that is not an automotive use certification, it is a lack of hazardous substance use certification that most electronic components have nowadays. Probably being deliberately misleading. I think their use is illegal.

https://certification-company.com/ce-certification/rohs/#:~:text=The RoHS Directive 2011%2F65%2FEU is part of the,the underlying components) is free of hazardous substances.
