Hi every one I have just replaced my ecu as the original  one went faulty so I changed ecu bsi unit transponder with key fried starting it's coming up imobilser active the key is not a remot one but all parts came off a running car  any ideas what could be wrong

the key was part of the new ecu kit that i have put in as the key worked on the other car before i removed it

Try your original key then. Key may be programmed to Cluster, not PCM

this might be late, but may help you out if you're still stuck. I was in a similar situation as you when i discovered after buying an ecu kit that the ABS module is also part of the immo. I don't know if it applied to your specific model or not but worth investigating.  I gave up on the ecu kit & had my ecu cloned and am back on the road.
