No connectivity in car or on FordPass app

Featured Replies

Hi all

picked up my 2023 ford focus this week and has been fine until yesterday afternoon when the cars modem stopped working it seems and the connection symbol has disappeared. Can’t activate the car in FordPass after deleting and removing and have also pulled the TCU fuse for the modem with no joy. I keep getting the below error message. Any ideas on how to fix or is this a trip to ford to test the modem module itself? It does say the TCU is disconnected in the bezel dish menu.

The usual way to resolve issues like this is to disconnect the car battery for 20 minutes and then wait 5 minutes after reconnecting.

It appears that it's also stopped your FOC profile from updating 🤣

Whoops! Should of changed that 😂

is it just the negative lead that needs disconnecting? Any idea how to do this?

Yes it's preferred to disconnect the negative lead for safety reasons, but due to the battery location on some vehicles that's not an option.

Just loosen the nut on the battery clamp (10mm) and pull it up and off the battery terminal post.

Hi @unofix  I did and no joy. I can see the ESN serial number but can’t access connectivity settings. It’s booked in with dealer Wednesday to update the TCU modem software.
