Tyres

Now done 9000 miles on these tyres and the fronts are down to 2.3mm.

That seems a lot of wear since your last post, Bob, when the tyres appeared to be wearing very well.

That's what I thought Roger.  The wear seems a lot heavier over the last four millimetres than the first two.   Driving and routes haven't changed at all.   I'm a bit concerned at the cracking in the rear tyres.   I think I'll be looking at a different make when I renew.

As Roger said that's quite a wear rate - am wondering if that's linked to those tyres being so good for wet grip...

& out of interest Bob, is your Fiesta on the 16" wheels?

For what it's worth mine (on 16s) is now on Goodyear EfficientGrip Peeformance 2s. To my senses they give less road noise than the original Michelin Primacy 3s but the ride is a little more jiggly over small bumps. Wet grip seems fine but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't quite match the Uniroyals for that.

No idea if that's any help... other opinions (and tyres) are available 🤓

The wheels are 16" and I'm pretty sure that the tyres are very soft indeed which almost certainly helps with the wet grip. I've had a look at those Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2s and they look pretty good so I might replace with those.
