Lpg convertion

I still don't know why LPG wasn't a bigger success here in the UK. Yes, to convert would cost about £1500 - £2000, but anyone doing an average annual mileage would claw that back. Even now though petrol is back to £1.40/liter from a high of almost £2/liter, LPG was and is so much cheaper!

If you're curious, here's a 'calculator' for you to see potential savings...

Diesels.

Why bother when you can get 60MPG+ and performance from a good Diesel

I think it depended on where you lived as there wasn't many fill up stations in the South West, and of course the financial outlay initially puts people off. Long trips took some planning, especially up to Scotland as a tank of lpg only got me about 220 miles.

My conversion cost me £1666 in 2006 when I was driving 32 miles to work and back....4 months later I changed employer who was 3 miles away from home 😂 ... took me longer than planned to to break even, but after that it was saving all the way. When I looked at replacing that car I wasn't going to get petrol and do a conversion again (lpg gave me problems with ignition system later on) so looked at diesels that would average at least 38mpg, so here I am with my 2.2 diesel....first one and never again (dpf etc), though to be fair it's been pretty good and I've had this 10 years now.

I bought my LPG 'used', so someone else paid for conversion, the attractiveness for me was running a big engine car on half the price of petrol. But I take your point...

Using lpg polution is less. There are lower taxes for lpg cars in some countries.

Yesterday the lpg system's tune/map was adjusted.

Also they connected a cabble to the obd so that some parameters will automatically be fixed.

The performance is better. Perhaps it needs again only for high speeds.

Master direct's technical support is excellent.

What year is your Focus Mk4 ?

Your profile seems to say it is a 2017 🤔

The mk4 is 2020. It is not mine.
