Want to lower mk7 but not sure on height

Featured Replies

I’ve been looking at some coilovers for my mk7 zetec s but the car looks low as is but arch space is bugging me so any one has experience with if it’s worth it to look nicer but still be able to handle the Welsh speed bumps without having to drive diagonally over them haha I’ll post pics of my arch atm and space on front bumper where it looks low

Or any way to lower arch gap without losing ride height not even sure that’s possible

You could fit larger profile tyres.  Though that might ruin the look you're after.  Could also fit larger rims but with the same profile tyres to keep the rim to rubber ratio that you have now.

The speedo will be wrong if you increase overall tyre circumference.

Speedo is already 5 mp out when I’m doing 40 it says 35 on Sat nav  and speed signs

This is a very useful site for doing tyre/wheel size comparisons. You can swap between imperial and metric sizes as required. Also it will give you the error that you speedo will show if you change to a different tyre and wheel combination.

You can use FORScan to correct the error of your speedo/odometer.

heres mine sitting on hr 35mm springs 🙂https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/122659-fiesta-zetec-s-street-pack-full-leather-2012-16ti-vct/#comments gives you an idea..change the rear spring isolators with powerflex purple ones as well when you do it 🙂

you can get hr 50mm springs aswel, but didnt want mine too low 🙂

Could the Fiesta ST springs be used ?

They will fit.  But the ST is much heavier than the Zetec S so they'll probably increase the arch gap rather than reduce it.
