Rear interior light

Featured Replies

did the hatchback mk2 come with a rear interior light? is it a little dark back there even with LED's installed in the front

if they did come as an option, im guessing there should be a wiring loom tucked away somewhere near the rear grab handles?

On doing a search on Ebay, there are a few listings for a rear courtesy light for a Mk2, though I've never seen one fitted. The experts will along shortly when they get up from nursing their hangovers 🤣

I'm struggling to remember any Mk2's I've seen without a rear courtesy light!

It's probably trim specific.  So likely that Zetec & above would get it.

I don't know if the wiring will be there on a 'sub Zetec' as they did get a different interior loom.

@StephenFord i did have a gander on Ebay but nothing seemed to fit, they all looked wrong 😂

@TomsFocus mines a Sport S with the styling pack so just below the Zetec haha. the wiring loom on my car seems odd, i dont have any rear electric window wiring looms but i got all the wiring set up for cruise control (which ive now activated) and CC was never an option on Sport S.  Completely irrelevant to the rear interior  light but thought it was interesting never the less🤣

Hi,Ciaran  I did my rear interior light mod  on my ford focus 2009 zetec about 2 years ago  it had no wires under the roof lining so i had to run 3 core 12v thin wall cable  from the front light to the new one but I had the original connector for the new  one i was fitting and match up the colours .hope this helps
