Hi all,

Hoping I can tap into the experience and expertise of you guys with regards to a problem I'm experiencing with my cars passenger rear door.

We always have the child lock active on this door due to having a 3 year old grandson who sits on this side. I've recently found that the door won't open from the outside, nor the inside, which it shouldn't do anyway if the child lock is on. I can hear the locking mechanism of the door making all the right noises when I click lock and open, but no matter what I do the door will just not open

Any help would be really appreciated.

Cheers

I assume your central locking is set unlocking to all doors and not just driver’s if that’s an option.

Had a similar problem with my 71 plate ST Line. My rear door would only open if the child lock was engaged. Fortunately, it was still under warranty as it required a new child lock assembly. I suggest you take it to your favourite mechanic.
