2003 fiesta 1.25 high pressure power steering pipe sensor

Hello I don't know whether part that I have bought is correct. I need to replace the corroded high pressure power steering pipe on my 2003 fiesta 1.25 , the original has a sensor but the part I have bought off eBay does not have a sensor, I was assured it was compatible by the seller,  is this sensor essential to the function and what does it do.

Any advice would be welcome thank you.

    Details of the part you have bought would help.

    It is most likely the wrong part if your original part has a sensor, then your car will still need that.
