MK8 Fiesta Blower Fans Fault

Featured Replies

Hi, I've got a MK8 Fiesta 1.0 with a fan fault. After reading numerous forums, facebook posts i'm genuinely stuck. The car is a 2018 and has done less than 20k.

Fans stopped working just before christmas, fan controller just illuminates at every speed and does nothing, you can hear the vents adjusting when you change direction but thats it.

I've tried:

-Sync Reset

-Checked fuse 7 (blower motor)

-Checked Climate control fuse in glove box

-Disconnected battery for long period to "reset" modules.

-Unplugged and reseatted the connectors for the motor and all seems fine.

Has anyone else had this issue and successfully fixed it through other solutions or a common part actually failing? A lot of posts i've read have involved one of the above solutions to fix the problem, but so far i've had 0 luck.

Thanks.

Hi Connor,

There was a longish thread on this a while ago which may have some helpful info:
