What SD card have you got at the moment ?

Post a photo of it if your unsure of the numbers on the card.

Wow! Super quick reply; thank you.

As requested, I've attached a photo of the SD Card.

I've also had a look at the files; most of them are date stamped Nov 2012.

There's an info.txt file, the contents of which...

Product Name: Western Europe SD Sat Nav (V3)
Worm: sd2-FORD-MFD_D_WesternEurope_Sys-SW2246 v1
Bosch Part Number: 7612 105 850
Ford Part Number: BM5T-19H449-DAB

I hope this is of use.

I've just seen this one on eBay, but I'm unsure why this says ...DAD

Mine says ...DAB, which makes sense to me, given that I have the Sony DAB system.

So, what's "DAD"?

Update: I've discovered that the suffix "DAB" is simply a coincidence; it has nothing to do with the "DAB Radio System".

It seems that the suffix is related the the Version: V6 = DAD | V5 = DAC and so on.

Assuming you need the same card as me (looks like it, but those more knowledgeable than me will confirm) they sell it here:

Nice one; thank you.

I would like, as Anthony suggests, someone to confirm this, with zero liability, of course.

Update: I have found a used Ford V7 Card; the part number is prefixed EM5T, whereas my V3 Card is prefixed BM5T. Is the EM5T compatible with my system?

While I fully appreciate that Anthony has provided me with a viable alternative, I would like to use the official Ford Card, and that V7 is going to be way more up-to-date that my V3, which may very well be as good as I need, maybe even as good as it gets.

With thanks.

I would like to use the official Ford Card,

As I've said many times before to others, Ford never ever made the maps or the SD cards. Most were produced by Bosch and many use a version of the TomTom maps.

The latest (and the last to be produced) is the 2022 V12 card. As the saying goes, when they've gone, they are gone !!!!

Your car uses the MFD software so the link below is what you should be upgrading to.

My thanks to you both.
