Audio Centre consul function buttons

Featured Replies

Just bought our daughter a mk7 63 plate fiesta looking at the stereo face audio control facia there are two slots either side of the hazard warning button. The owners manual says there should be function buttons (2 in each slot) there doesn't appear to be any sign of wires but can anyone tell me if these two items can be bought separately as parts and do they need wired?. Thank you

The buttons aren't available separately.  I can't say I've heard of them missing though, now sure how that could happen.  Have you got a picture?

Do you have the base model with a two line display instead of the normal LCD? If so then it's because your radio is the basic one and doesn't have that functionality

Thank you for the replies I appreciate it I would have to have a closer look at the screen as you suggest as the picture I took doesn't really show it. but this is the picture I took of the audio consul

That's interesting.  I think a previous owner has swapped just the face plate for the gloss version, leaving the rest of the audio unit as the basic one.  🤔

Hi Tom thank you for the reply I appreciate it I guess that I will need to remove the face plate etc from the dash and have a look at the part number to know what is installed?. Appreciate any suggestions she was looking to change to a bigger (or more modern as she put it) set up i guess similar to the attached picture which would I hope negate changing the audio unit behind it?.

I'm afraid I don't have any experience with aftermarket audio upgrades on the Mk7 Fiesta.

The originals are very easy to remove though.  The top cowling over the screen just clips off using a plastic trim tool or similar to remove it from the dash.  Then the switch panel uses two small bolts at the top (7mm iirc) and then the panel can be 'peeled' away from the bottom edge first, removing the whole thing as one with the vents.
