New second key 2011 fiesta

Featured Replies

We got a second key for our sons car, hubby as programmed it but it won’t start the car.  Immobiliser light comes on - it does open the car - can anyone help?

it has to be programmed by a ford dealer it has a chip inside it

I've used auto solutions auto locksmiths in the past. Lincoln based but travels all over the UK. Supplied new key and coded for £110-ish

Any decent local independent locksmith will be able to properly program your key, do NOT use Timpsons...

(the door open/close function is separate to the immobilser function of the key)

Vehicles up to 2013 can be have the keys programmed in to the vehicle using FORScan.

Personally I'd recommend a trip to your Ford dealer for you. Take the car and all the keys. The dealer will erase all keys from the vehicles memory, thus deleting any lost keys. They will then programme in all keys you have.
