Fiesta turns off in traffic and only starts if I open door

I have a 69 plate Ford Fiesta 1.0 Eco boost Titanium.

I recently had the battery changed so stop start works now.  I first got an error about brakes but they look fine and fluid is not too low.  Then suddenly I was in traffic, slowing down and the engine shut off. Nothing seemed to bring the car to life.  Only when I opened and closed the driver door did it seem to reset and the stop start functioned.   Any ideas?  On occasion it said keyfob had low battery but this was intermittent.  Had this occur 3 times in a month although I use the car daily.  No engine warnings on the dashboard.

    Change the battery in the fob, to a good quality battery.

    If Stop/Start activates, but the car can't sense the key, the car will not restart.

    Turn off Stop/Start as soon as you start the engine until you get the key fob battery changed.

    DO NOT buy cheap batteries, Energizer are the best, you will need a 2032

    Yes, follow Dave's advice asap. Do not ignore the "key fob battery low" warning or you will find it will die completely and not unlock the car and you will need to use the emergency key blade to get in.
