Horn sounds like its being strangled!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi,i have a 2007 fiesta zetec and the horn as i stated in the title sounds like its being strangled.very embarrassing

is there an easy fix?????????

    I'm very tempted to suggest some "Colonel Bogey" air horns, all the rage when I was a boy.......

    Seriously, I can only suggest getting a horn from a scrappy and seeing if that improves things.  The horn switch on the steering wheel is connected to the GEM, and this feeds the horn.

    You could try connecting 12V from the battery +ve direct to the horn, and seeing/hearing how it then sounds.  If OK, then try and measure the voltage to the horn when the horn press is operated, but with the horn connected, and not connected.
