Fiesta 2006 1.4 Ghia 2 door ABS problem

Featured Replies

Have the classic ABS failure issue.

ABS and Handbrake light came on.

Also speedo stopped working as well as all dash board info such as mileage etc

turning into dashes. Diagnostic showed ABS error .

Bought a supposed  used working  unit and fitted.

Speedo and all dash info working again.

However ABS and Handbrake light still on but a re diagnostic check shows no error codes?

Does the replacement ABS/ ECU need to be coded to the car?

I understood it should be a plug and play replacement.

Yes the ABS unit needs to be coded to the car, which is why many people choose to have their own ABS unit repaired/refurbished so they can avoid the programming problems.

As far as i know it is not something that FORScan can do.
