Changing the radio unit on my Fiesta Mk 7 - do i need a code

Featured Replies

Hello, I need some help, the radio unit in my fiesta mk7 has stopped working and I bought a new unit from ebay, after installing it in the car its not working ?? do I need to enter a code and how ??

If it is exactly the same part number head unit as the one you removed, then the head unit wasn't faulty. Check power supply.

If it's not exactly the same part number, that's why it's not working

....but what exactly is a 'unit' - what did you replace?  In the standard set-up, there are 3 units - buttons, metal box with CD player behind it, and screen/display box on the top.

I replaced the metal box

It's usually the buttons that fail.

Simple test - on the buttons panel does the door locking and the hazards still work?  But nothing else?
