PCM UO120 fault code

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone can help me out with this. Just plugged in forscan for the first time and noticed this code from the 14th of February:

Car has had a weird thing ever since I bought it in 2018 where every 3 months or so the battery light will come on, has happened when driving on the motorway, has happened when driving through town, doesn't seem to be connected to any one specific condition. Only thing I have noticed is recently it has come on consistently after going through mcdonalds drive thru (twice in the two times it's been). Restarting the car turns the light off and it is not on normally.

Have also noticed that the revs can be a little bit high and fluctuate up a bit at cold idle, and if I cold start the car, reverse out of my garage, then pull up to a few junctions, sometimes after putting the clutch in to stop a few times the revs will jump up to 1500 for a few seconds before calming down again gradually.

Do I need a new alternator?

Garage have tested alternator and battery and both are charging fine.

Thanks in advance
