Steering lock setting off the horn

Featured Replies

What is the best steering lock to use with a 17 reg 1L Fiesta?

I have a Stoplock Pro after someone tried stealing it but it rests on the horn and can easily set it off. It has burnt out a few horns now and an auto electrician says it's because the steering lock is resting on it and putting pressure on the horn causing it to burn out. I've tried putting something on the steering wheel first to cushion it but it doesn't work.

Has anyone else had that problem and do they recommend a different brand that fits the steering wheel properly?

Thanks

You haven't bought the right one, it's probably too big

On my old Escort I used to have a chain & padlock!! I'd push the seat right forwards then wind the back support until it was as far as it would go, then I'd put the chain through the headrest supports & steering wheel spokes, tighten up, then lock it.......lol
