Greetings to the forum. I have a 2004 Mk6 XL with 1.25 engine. The alternator is noisy and overcharging . Its a NAPA 105Amp unit and the sticker on it suggests it was fitted in 2021. I suspect this might be the wrong alternator. Acording to ebay its for a Focus or C-Max.

My ebay searches for a replacement suggests it should be a 70 or 90A. Can any members confirm the correct amperage alternator for this model ?

Secondly, the plug socket is 3 pin.  My mate has a 1 pin unit that he will give to me but will it work ?
