lphuk
Hi all As per my other thread I have tracked down why my fan wasn't coming on when you switch on the AC. The resistor that controls the low speed setting is dead. You can't by just the resistor from Ford - only the full rad shroud and fan/motor for over £400...... It looks like a fairly simply thing - a plug with a resistor soldered across 2 contacts - so was wondering if I would simply replace the knackered resistor by removing it and soldering in a new one? If so does anyone know what the value of the resistor needs to be? 12v obviously, a decent current capacity (60A is the fuse fating) but what resistance value? Thanks
