2016 Titanium HB 1.6L w/vvt Naturally Aspirated PCV valve?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

So after weeks of long-term fuel trim at -14.87 (very lean), CMP sensor codes, Multiple cyl. misfires, rough idle, poor acceleration, and now finding a qt of oil "blow by" under the car on the left side from the Air filter housing, This can only be a stuck open PCV valve.  I can not locate the PCV anywhere. I think I have found it in various pictures but there are 3 possible locations and some have tubes attached. I am curious if it's the tube coming from the bottom of the intake to a valve that looks like it goes to the brake booster. If that is it, why TF route a PCV to the brake booster? I can not believe that is it as I refuse to think that was a good idea.

The other thing.  How do you get those stupid FORD clips off the hose connections? it's bad enough when it is right there in front of you but when you're going by touch it is nearly impossible to release the clip.

If this doesn't fix this ongoing issue I'll have to cut my losses and trade her in. It's too bad I liked this car. 😞

The PCV is the larger hose in the centre of the manifold.  There is no longer a separate valve on a 2016 model.  Should be this part on the engine.

With this hose:

The thin hoses at the bottom of the manifold are for the brake servo and the evap valve.
