Mk7 60 plate fiesta, boot keeps popping open, I’ve changed lock mechanism and wire. Any more ideas as this hasn’t worked

    Just had this on mine

    Change or clean the switch as they get water in them and short the 2 wires inside

    Like you number plate lights it just flicks out with a clip at either end..

    6 small philips screws and clean (I used washing liquid and a tooth brush then dried with a hair dryer 

    Worked a treat

    Just experienced the same problem on my 2012 Ford Fiesta replaced the microswitch bought on ebay for £8.99. Solved the issue.
