Annoying alert on ford pass

Featured Replies

Anyone know how to get this annoying alert cleared? Oil service was done in March. I thought reseting oil life would clear it but it went from 94% to 98% in car. Clearly that was the wrong thing to do. Now I need to remember I'm 4% over on  dash lol

Yes, yet another sales gimmick I'm afraid.

You just have to learn to ignore it, I get them all the time and it's not even close to being correct. The remaining oil life indicator should be correct, so even though you reset it, I believe it will sort itself out as it is intended to monitor the oil quality.

Can you guess how long it would take to catch up properly . Still sitting at 98% 2 weeks later but I've kept a note of what i estimate it to be.  I don't drive miles every day.

I'd expect that 1000 miles or 6 weeks but that's just based on how frequently I've noticed the oil life indicator to update on my car.
