Car wont start after resetting oil warning indicator

Featured Replies

So, I was about to turn off the oil change notification light since I do this myself. To reset it, I hold down the brake and gas pedals for about 30 seconds in the run position. Everything goes as it should, the indicator turns off, but I can't start the car again. No sound from the starter, but everything else is normal. Checked the battery and it's okay, checked fuses and relays and everything was okay there too. Initially thought it was the immobilizer not disengaging, but from what I've read, a red light should blink if that happens, and it doesn't in my case.

Has anyone here had a similar experience or any advice on what I should do next?

Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes, all should be ok

Thanks for the reply.

I did that and left the battery charging just in case for 48 hours. The condition remained the same after installing the battery.
