Coolant leak, Fiesta MK5?

Featured Replies

Car overheated at the garage and was very low on coolant, they suggested a new expansion tank cap, this was replaced 2 years ago though and can not see any issues with it.

Few weeks later and the coolant is below minimum again.. I've checked the header tank and cap but once again all is in order.

But I have noticed that one of the hoses on the right side of the engine (if you stand in front of car looking down), one of the hoses is covered in pink coolant. Its quite deep down so cant see if it is split of the metal housing is cracked etc..

Is this a common issue and what is the likely cause?

Not so common unless you have a 21 year old rubber pipe.

true.. do you know what this hose part number is. I've tried looking online and the closest I think it is 8b274?

Ford finis 1528662 is probable, but I don't know what engine you have.
