Electrics Total failure

Featured Replies

I have a Fiesta, 1 litre, 18 Reg. and recently, whilst driving, all the electrics fail except the engine keeps running. This has now happened several times.

After about 15 seconds, the electrics come back on with the clock one hour back and the radio on a different station.  I'm beginning to think it may be to do with the low petrol light being triggered but don't have enough evidence to say definitely.

I've changed the battery and checked for loose connections around the battery.

Any ideas much appreciated.

Chris

Definite power cut off happening.

Check all connections, especially in battery area, especially earths

And the BCM.  If the engine keeps running, the problem is more likely to be inside the car imo.

This would seem like loss of power in the "High Current Battery Junction Box" usually located directly on the side of the vehicle battery positive terminal.

You need to check Mega Fuse F2 (125 Amp)

Are the connections tight and the fuse in good condition ?
