New turbo now engine management light

Featured Replies

Hey. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I had smoke 💨 coming from exhaust. After trying a few minor things we then went to change turbo. Now we have engine management light and also traction control light (hill assist also doesn’t work when this light is on). After plugging into computer it’s coming up with Actuator issue of some kind (cant remember exact words) so it’s been calibrated but still the same. When plugged old actuator back into new turbo it works fine but since the new turbo is not original Ford the old actuator doesn’t screw onto the new turbo as the holes don’t line up. Are we missing some part of the set up? It all seems electronic issue like. (2017 fiesta 1.5 tdci)

Additional info

Sounds like the actuator sensor is electronically wrong on the new turbo.

Need to try and get the the old sensor on the new turbo somehow.

Which bolts aren't lining up?  Just the sensor alone?  Or the full actuator?
