Fiesta Mk8 Excessive Engine Movement

Featured Replies

We just acquired a Mk8 1.1 Ti VCT and I wanted to upgrade the rear engine mount a bit to rein in the engine roll when pulling away and accelerating. I'm assuming the same is true of the 1.0 Eco Boost models also. Can anyone recommend a sensible upgrade that can help with this please ?

This was a bit of an issue with the pre-facelift Mk 8 ST (the facelift Mk 8.5 has a revised mount) but I've never seen mention of a problem with the 1.0 though, and certainly not the 1.1 VCT. I had a 140 ecoboost for 5 years without experiencing an issue so I wonder if your standard mount is ok.

Upgraded mounts are available, a couple which claim to be suitable for all Mk 8:
