2015 Fiesta 1L Ecoboost - WE BUY ANY CAR PRICE OFFER

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

The car is giving the diagnostic code P132B-21 Turbocharger / Supercharger Boost Control A Performance - Signal Amplitude < Minimum

I had a price from Ford dealership to fix, they wanted to run own diagnostic (£135) and then quoted it could be approx £1300 to fix.

I just want to sell this car, as I am anxious that if I do spend the money on it the problem will still not be fixed.

We buy any car have offered me £4k without any issues (approx. 95,000 miles at time of sale) MOT until October 2024, Petrol. So I am aware they will end up only offering about £1.5k probs?

If I do a private sale could anyone suggest what figure I should aim to sell it for without getting the boost fixed?

Really appreciate any help on this!

The car is not the one in your profile, I assume your profile is not up to date.

if the wet belts on the engine haven’t been replaced, they are due by next year and almost certainly on borrowed time. Cost for the wet belts replacement is £1k to £1.5k.

i assume your dealer quote hasn’t included this in his quote.

Sadly your 2015 Fiesta 1L Ecoboost, with the problems you describe and with the additional cost of needing the wet timing belt changed just around the corner, I'd think you would find it hard to sell for anything more than £1000 🙄

Hi Guys, the wet belts were done earlier this year, sorry to have left this info out!

As you've already spent the money on that.  It would be worth trying the easy fixes for the boost fault.

Firstly check the vac pump valve hasn't broken.  Secondly try a new boost solenoid.
