Hey people,anyone fitted one of these or something like it to their fiesta,thoughts please,just looking about while mines is still with ford with the clutch issues,apparently all fixed and they want to do a final test drive monday morning before handing her back,dont know what they have done but will share as soon as i know

Yup.

 

I recently fitted https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394799861930 to my wife's MK7 without issue. It's quite a high spec unit:

  • 8 core CPU
  • 6GB RAM
  • 128GB fast storage
  • Good quality 9" IPS display
  • Includes an external microphone (also has an integrated mic if you can't be bothered to install the wired one)
  • Includes the canbus box (so steering wheel controls will work once you've set the correct setting on the head unit i.e. tell it which canbus box is connected

 

More than anything, my advice would be do NOT buy a unit that has less than 4GB of RAM, it'll run like dog plop.

If it's any use, I'm happy to take a few pics of it in use and post them here (probably be Friday at the earliest, due to work commitments).

cheers ,should have said,mines a 2015 but thats the kinda thing im looking for
